How do you restore Windows XP to when you first installed it?
Does it delete all files and programs with it?

People bitch when you post shit like this in GD. So I ask again, how do you do this. Simply saying "reformat" does not help me. This is for my old computer, I run Vista on my regular computer. I’m selling my old one, so I just wanted some help. kthxbai.

DT, he can ask about anything here, it’s better than the GD forum.

If your restore feature will let you (sometimes damage to the PC will limit it’s ability) yes it SHOULD be able to restore it to the point of when you first got it, / Installed Windows.

Start / AllPrograms / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore. When the calander comes up, just go back to the first Restore Point and see if it’ll let you do it.

Yes it WILL go back to BEFORE you installed certain programs, but you can just reinstall them.

Yeah, those questions are definitely to be asked and answered here because there’s allot of them and it would get silly in the GD, but General Q&A is not LIMITED to JUST those types of questions.

Matter of fact the more questions posted here, the more REALLY silly shite can be posted in GD. LOL!!
