This is sort of a duh, and yet many people may not have thought of it.
Well there are two ways:
1) The first and simplist way is to take a normal strike anywhere match and dip it in hot wax. It will dry around it, and make the match head waterproof.
When you strike it, all you have to do is apply a little extra pressure as to get through the wax.
2) The second way takes a little more, but makes it semi-windproof and all water proof.
Take a cotten ball and cram the match into the center of it. Crumple it up, and the goal to that is to reduce space and make it compact.
Now take the wax and then put a little extra on. Not trying to drench it, but enough to cover all spaces.

The only problem with the second one is it requires a second match to light it. Making it semi-pointless. Yet it’s still good to know.

nice little guide but those arent the only ways. You can also just put a small piece of plastic wrap on it. When you strike it rips and lights.
I’ve also heard somewhere that you can simply take some of that spray bandaid stuff and spray a match, supposedly it waterproofs the match and it allowes it to still be lit.
BTW bio-spin msg me why you would want to be a mod if you want to be one... there will be a opening soon... if you know what i mean -.-

my way of waterproofing matches is to paint 3/4 of them(including the head) with nail polish, it’s simple yet effective.....i prefer strike anywhere matches over strike on box matches cuz they’re cooler, lol

All good ways to waterproof a match. The norm we used in the Rangers was to use a strike anywhere match and spray/coat it with a light layer of any kind of lacquer- (spray paint sealer, nail polish, even some water proofers for wood etc.). Fast drying, water proof and durable. Of course, you SHOULD have your magnesesium piece with you at all times when going out...lol
