I received 1 litre of bourbon from a friend recently, as a gift.
& I was wondering would it taste any good if I mixed it with vanilla cola, or is just traditional cola the way to go?
I’m not really a big fan of coke cola, I normally have shots or drink beer so yeah. And ill be drinking it at a party so I really don’t want to be drinking it straight to start the night off :)
All input is welcome

If you do not care for coca cola, try 7-up or ginger ale as a mix. I would think vanilla cola would be as nasty as mixing it with Dr. Pepper.

I’m a fan of Bourbon. What do you have? Different bourbon should be enjoyed differently.

ahhh EW... shitty stuff but gets you drunk. I like lemonade with EW. Grab a 2 liter of the minute made stuff, get a glass, fill it with ice, mix it as strong as you like.

oh wait, is it evan williams like in that picture or something else? either way lemonade is good, but when you get into the higher range bourbon it’s better to just have it neat or on the rocks, much better flavor. but yes coke is a staple as well. I like diet if i’m going to be drinking a lot, tends to give me less of a hangover.

Dry ginger ale is the best, although I prefer Scotch over bourban, and have never really mixed bourban and gin, but scotch and bourban are similar.
I don’t really drink fizzy shit very often though, I tend to be an ’on the rocks’ kinda guy.
Straight liquor and fruit juice all the way!
Energy drinks are an exception, some of those taste alright.

yeah fizzy drinks kinda make me feel sick after a while, I dunno why it is haha
but yeah im going to give it a shot with ginger ale and maybe try it with a few energy drinks too... its gonna be a long night haha
I also prefer Scotch over Bourbon too :)

Ginger ale is about the only thing it’s good for, can’t really stand the stuff. Although I’ll admit it’s actually easier to drink straight than mixed shittily, just takes some practice.

That bourbon is rough to drink. I would recommend ginger ale. If you want a smoother yet cheap bourbon get Early Times. Don’t ask me how I know about bourbon/whiskey. I hated the stuff for years and then I met George Dickel. I enjoyed George until they changed the aging/distilling process. I was so disappointed. There was nothing like it ever. RIP George.
I have periods of time where I enjoy a cocktail after each day after work for a few weeks and then years go by where I’m just totally disinterested in liquor altogether. Not sure why.

I would drink it straight, with water (or some kinda soft drink) on the side.
