Hey fellow RE members.
I wanted to ask the people around here what the best choice for a Mig Welder is. So far I have my money on a Lincoln Electric Handy Core. http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Catalog/equipmentdatasheet.asp?p=8958
Or a Miller Millermatic 140 with Autoset.
http://www.millerwelds.com/products/mig/millermatic_140_autoset/
If anyone has any suggestions for a different welder, please tell me, and also, I would like to keep it under 500$ Canadian and MUST fit into a standard household plugin. I am planning to use this welder for making tables and chairs, along as repairs for my pocketbike and various small engine work and possibly a go-cart.
Please give me positive feedback. Thanks,
Spud18.

Not many people are into welding here.
But I’ll pretend!

That’s the only type of welding I ever need to know.

Personally, I like Lincoln.. Miller’s good, but the Lincoln will put up with more abuse...

BTW, I’d save for the SP-135T. It has a broader amperage range, so you can weld thinner AND thicker metals than the Handy Core... Also more options on the sizes of wire... Price is $572 US... What’s that in Canada?

I agree with that because its more than twice as cheaper and i can buy it locally instead of ordering it. and also...

I already said earlier, I am planning to use this welder for making tables and chairs, along as repairs for my pocketbike and various small engine work and possibly a go-cart.

Personally, I’d save the extra $133 for the 135T. More versatile...
