What is a ’soundboard’? A ’soundboard’ is like an audio album or soundtrack/jukebox for all your favorite Mp3 sound-bytes and audio clips. You can build a soundboard for your own listening pleasure or upload your sound and share it with the world. Soundboards are perfect for musicians of all kinds, radio stations, TV, podcasts, family, comedy, products, politicians and campaigns and much, much more
Step 1: Find a sound clip, if you find it online be sure to save or download it and remember where it is located. You can download some free sounds at this website. www.audiencesounds.com
Step 2: Now onto the fun part, I have chosen the audience laugh for my .mp3.
Open up Flash and select ’flash file action5cript 3.0’.
Step 3: Select the type tool, and type the name of your sound clip.
In this case I named mine ’Audience laugh’.
Step 4: Choose the ’rectangle tool’ and draw a box over your text.
You can change the colors, but make sure you can still read the text.
Step 5: Click the Selection Tool and highlight the rectangle. Make sure the entire box is selected.
Step 6: Press ’F8’, this will now show the convert to symbol box.
Name it whatever you want and the type should be ’button’ click OK.
Step 7: Click somewhere other than the button, and then double click the button,
The time-line will change and look like this:
Step 8: In the time-line, right click the white box underneath the text that says ’down’ and select ’insert keyframe’.
Step 9: go up to file>import>Import to library and find your audio clip you saved earlier.
Step 10: Press ctlr+L or go up to the library tab in the upper right area.
Find the audio you added to the library, click it and drag & drop it onto the work area.
Step 11: Double click the gray area, and go up to export>export movie. Save it as ’.swf’ Open it up and click on the button to hear your sound play.
You’re now done making a simple soundboard.
Here are some sites that already have pre-made soundboards for you.
Nov 07, 2009 3:31 pm - Pyro, you have some of the best eggs on this site. Five for this egg. I’ve always wanted to know how to make one of these but have been way too lazy to figure it out and yet you bring it here. Five to your profile as well!
