A really awsome butane rocket can be made with two things, wait maybe three:
1- Full Butane Can (the ones you use to run camping stoves)
2- Hexy Tablets the real naem is somthing like hexiaminfine or someting like that but in cadets (i know i do cadets, its compussory at my school) we just call them hexy tablets (the ones used in the army, they are a square about 5 by 5cms and are white)
3- A place that you can watch but you are safe from shrapnel.
it rest is pretty explanitory; light the Hexy Tablet and put the butane can on top of the lit tablet, then run to your hiding spot.
Warning this causes shrapnel and somtimes it will just blow up with one large BOOM, trust me its fucking loud. But sometimes it will shoot up to 100 meters in the air.
This is fun to do but extremly stupid, ive only seen this happen. the boarders at my school did this, it was insane

Yeah sorry bout the absence of pics, it was done out of the blue by the boarders it was incredible, kids at my school said they heard it almost a kilometer away, i reckon this would slice you up if one of the peices of shrapnel hit you. about a year ago a kid got almost explelled for doing this on cadet camp |

Huh? How, butane burns too slow to explode, with out pure O2 mixed in. This would burn/melt a hole in the can, and the pressure of the butane would force it out, and make a foutain of flames. If you can find a video of this working, than I will rate.
Also, the tablets contain hexamethylenetetramine. Its not a long, or hard word. |
