How to make pretty cool throwing spikes.

Well, The other day I was walking through home depot and saw some 12ing galvanized nails, and had a great idea.. Make some throwing spikes!
What you need:
• 12 in nails. Can be found at home depot for a buck a pop.
• Bench Grinder
• Dremel tool (optional)
• Electrical tape (also optional)
• Reciprocating Saw (not needed but makes the job faster and easier.)
Step one:
First we need to get the head off of the nail, it gets in the way when throwing it. Grind the sucker off with your bench grinder.
Or, you can throw it in a vice and saw the mofo off with a reciprocating saw, like so:
Step two:
Your nail should look like this:
Since the tip of the nail isn’t too sharp, grind it with the bench grinder for a bit, like this:
This is what mine looked like after grinding it:
Okay, you can stop here if you want. You’ll have a pretty nice spike, of you can go on and make it even better.
Step three:
Get your dremel tool and fix any imperfections on the tip left by the grinder.
You should be able to get the nail really sharp doing this.
After that I used the bench grinder to grind all around the nail and make it shiny, it looked alot better.
After that you can put some electrical tape on it to give it a better grip. It also looks a lot nicer.

this egg is sweet. its such a good idea. i made some of these out of sections of a thin flagpole for capture the flag (paintball). although i do know a better way.
grab a cheap kitchen knife. smash the plastic handles off with a hammer and grind the studs sticking out off. it should be pretty balanced. if not, drill holes in either side untill its balanced. 5*s and 5ers for your profile. |

It’s got less mass than regular modded dart board darts but This is still good for close range.
