This is a nifty little hidden dart launcher you can
make in very little time, and keep concealed easily.
Materials:
Drinking straw (the longer, the better)
Standard paper clip
Other type of paper clip
Rubber band
Tape
3 ring binder
5 minutes
V V 1- Put the standard paper clip on the end of the straw. V V
V V 2- Cut a small piece of tape... V V
V V 3- ...and firmly attach the clip to the straw. V V
V V 4- Cut another small piece of tape... V V
V V 5- ...and overlap the other end of the straw. Flatten like so. V V
V V 6- Place the rubber band on the top ring of the binder. V V
V V 7- Check the stretch. Should be pretty tight. If it is, skip to step 10. If loose, go to 8. V V
V V 8- Place rubber band on middle ring. V V
V V 9- Run band through top ring. V V
V V 10- Place other clip at bottom of the binder. V V
V V 11- Pinch the band and the straw (like a slingshot) and clip at bottom of binder. V V
V V 12- Close the book. You’re loaded. V V
To Fire:
V V If your straw is long enough, you can fire it like this. V V
V V If it’s shorter, you may have to fire like this, so it doesn’t jam. V V
If you’re target shooting, you can bend the standard paper clip to be a point...
Should stick in cardboard... or ceiling tiles... heheh...
That’s about it! Please leave a comment...

Jan 23, 2007 5:26 am - Lead weights I assume you are talking about the fishing sinkers... Split-shot. Yes, you can use anything that’ll stay in the tip of the straw, and has a little weight to it. I used to use pebbles. :-)
Jan 24, 2007 3:51 pm - ^^FreakDesign^^ I got so many ideas floating around in the pea soup I call my brain... I’m glad you like them... Which is your favorite so far?
^^^^^SimpleMan^^^^^ You using a 7 inch monitor or something? J/K... Sorry, I’ll work on taking better pics...

Mar 20, 2007 5:08 am - yeah goog egg.i make these pen shooters and they hurt like a bitch and are very easy to conceal cause they look like a pen but are really a wepon.im trying to make an egg on it but i dont like to take pictures plus i dont have my own camera.5* btw
Sep 10, 2007 4:30 am - would you be able to use a skewer? another thing could be somthing i used to use, a straw with one of those adjustable modeling knife blades, they stick into cement 5* btw
Sep 10, 2007 7:02 pm - No doubt, you can use anything. A pencil, skewer, X-acto knife, whatever fits. The only reason I suggest straws is they fly straighter, because the paper clip adds front weight bias.
