Ok. I was just read Red Roosters egg on how to make the mortar. And Johnocide said "Why dont you use sparkler dust as a sort of star?" So I decided to make an egg on how to make stars for aussies(Or anyone else who cant get chems)
Materials:
A few packets of sparklers(Depending how big you want your star)
Al-foil(for us aussies)
A stove
Rubber gloves
And something heat resistant you can put on your hands like cooking mits or gloves.
Step 1: Crush up your sparklers into a fine dust. Either by getting some newspaper and putting the sparklers in between and getting a hammer and whacking it or if you have any other ways. Just do what works best for you.
Step 2: Add some water to the sparkler dust. Just keep adding small drops so it doesnt get flooded with water. Im not too sure of what the ratio is. Mix the water and sparkler dust into a paste consistency.
Step 3: Put on the rubber gloves and mould the paste into a ball of your desired size.(Its proberly better to use disposoble gloves but old rubber gloves are fine)
Step 4: Put the ball into the al-foil and make a small handle so you can hold it for the next step. If you dont make a handle be prepaired to get your hand burnt and rushed to hospital.(Im NOT kidding!)
Step 5: Put on the heat resitant gloves. Turn the stove on to a low flame.(Only really small) Hold the ball by the al-foil handle and heat it over the flame.(Be really carefull doing this because the gloves can get hot aswell)
Step 6: After it has gone hard leave the al-foil to cool down(I learnt that the hard way!) When its cooled down its ready for use.
Well I hoped you enjoyed my egg!
Till next time
Oh P.S. I didnt take any pics because i didnt have any sparklers. I’ll do a remake when ive got the sparklers.

Jan 12, 2007 4:17 pm - Could you get any more dangerous with the stove???
Let it dry by itself, you risk the chance of it igniting on the stove and fucking up all the work you just did!!
probably because you use them lighters which have the ignition chemical on the tip, the ones i buy are easy light and you could always just mix some meal powder with the sparklers if you aint got easy light ones
all sparklers have that thing on the end but they still take a while to light
Feb 13, 2007 6:07 pm - ive actually kinda changed my method of artilery fireworks. now theyre more like rockets but they shoot the nozzle out downwards and the sparkler powder is what you see when it the casing fires.
